Brief Background and History of Doarabazar Government Technical School and College

This institution under the Directorate of Technical Education, to improve the quality of technical education and create skilled human resources by the times, in the year 2023, Sunamganj-5 (Chatak-Doarabazar) Constituency Sunamganj-5 (Chatak-Doarabazar) Constituency Hon. The first and only government technical educational institution of Atra Upazila built by the efforts of Mr. Mahibur Rahman Manik, Member of Parliament and public leader.

Since the publication of the admission notice for the academic year 2024, the institution has become the center of interest of students from all levels of the area for admission to the institution. Under the guidance of the Directorate of Technical Education, the institute started its education program by admitting 65, 61, and 60 students respectively in the pre-vocational branch in the 2024 academic year under the Technical Education Board. Although here in the pre-vocational branch 6th, 7th, and 8th classes with 120 students per class (60 students * 02 sections) a total of 360 students are allowed to be admitted. However, a total of 186 students have been admitted to pre-vocational as the construction work of the institution is not completed. Teaching in SSC Vocational (Classes IX and X) and HSC Vocational (Classes XI and X) branches will be started in the institute in phases.

The following four trades education programs will be conducted in the institution in SSC Vocational and ASC Vocational branches with the approval of the Technical Education Board.

30 (thirty) students are allowed to be admitted in each of these trades. In 04 (four) trades, SSC Vocational (Class IX & X) total (30 people * 4 trades * 2 classes) 240 people, and in SSC Vocational (Class XI & XII) total (30 people * 4 Trades * 2 classes) 240 students will be admitted. A total of (360+240+240) 840 students have been allowed to receive hands-on technical education in the institution through pre-vocational, SSC vocational, and SSC vocational.

Mr. A, S, M, Naeem, Chief Instructor (Dress Making), Netrakona Government Technical School and College, Netrakona has been posted as Principal (Acting) from the Directorate of Technical Education and he is currently serving as the Principal. 

Young students from different parts of the district express their interest in studying in this institution in a conducive environment of completely political-free education. The teachers-officers-employees working in this institution are working tirelessly to achieve the economic prosperity of the country and the nation through the creation of skilled human resources.
